Andreja Zidarič

The slowenian opera singer finished her studies at Music and Arts University in Vienna. She won the international Heinrich Strecker Singing Competition in 2013. In the following year she sang at Salzburg Opera Festival as Blonde in childrens version of Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio and as Adelige Waise in Rosenkavalier. She participated at masterclasses of Thomas Hampson, Adrian Eröd and Gerhard Khary, as well as was coached by Ildiko Raimondi. As soloist she gave an amount of concerts, for example in the Wiener Musikverein. She debuted in Baden as Stasi in The Gypsy Princess and as Amber in Musical Hairspray. In Raimund Theater in Vienna she debuted as Ensemble and Cover for Maria Anna in the new Musical Schikaneder. In June 2018 was seen as Lubanara in the Opera „Stein der Weisen“ at Landestheater Innsbruck. In the following Summer she debutet as Rosina in Rossinis Il Barbiere di Siviglia in JOPERA Festival Summer and as Ottilie in Benatzky`s Im Weissen Rössl at the Staatsoperette Dresden. In Festival Herbsttage Blindenmarkt, she debuted as Kondja Gül, the leading lady in Leo Fall‘s operetta Die Rose von Stambul. In January followed the New Years Concerts with the Ensemble Neue Streicher, where she thrilled the audience with her Frühlingsstimmen Walzer. Later on, she was invited to perform at the Fashion Show by DH Fashion in Slowenia, where she charmed everyone with her Gilda (Caro Nome, from Verdi’s Rigoletto). In Fall 2019 she will return to Innsbruck for a new Musical Production „Bianca, die Schattenkaiserin“, that was written for the 500 annual of Kaiser Maximilian. She will perform the role of Violanta.
